I am so grateful I learned about Dr. Baer from my chiropractor. My dental needs were not met by my prior general dentists , whose team only approached by dental care focused on six month cleanings, and no sign of cavities. Dr. Baer addressed my exam holistically, which is what I wanted but could not easily find from other dentists I was referred to. She diagnosed and treated my adult lip and tongue frenum constraints that in my generation were not recognized as they are today by this generation of pediatric dentists. I live in Northern Virginia but am happy to make the commute to their offices in Maryland for the best care. I am also working with a MYO Professional, Sarah, who has guided me through mouth exercises before and after my frenumectomies. I realize now how especially beneficial functional dentistry is, and I wish these dentists were more available and discoverable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kimberly Baer for 2 years now. She is very caring, kind and gentle. She does not rush and explains procedures and treatments very well. Dentists that take into consideration your overall health and do not use toxins are difficult to find. I live 80 miles away, but I am willing to travel the distance to get this quality of dental care. I highly recommend Natural Dentists Associates.
READ MOREOur dentures are made exclusively from biocompatible materials that are free from toxic substances and allergens. Unlike traditional dentures that may contain harmful chemicals or cause tissue irritation, our biological dentistry approach uses BPA-free acrylics, metal-free clasps, and natural-looking teeth that work harmoniously with your oral tissues. This results in better comfort, healthier gums, and superior long-term outcomes.
With proper care, high-quality biocompatible dentures typically last 5-8 years for complete dentures and 5-7 years for partial dentures. Implant-supported dentures can last 10-15 years or more. Factors affecting longevity include oral hygiene, bone changes, wear patterns, and regular maintenance. Our biological dentistry approach includes guidance on natural care methods that help extend the life of your dentures.
Yes, especially with properly fitted biocompatible dentures or implant-supported options. Traditional dentures restore about 20-25% of normal chewing function, while our precision-fitted dentures can achieve 40-50%. Implant-supported dentures restore up to 90% of natural chewing efficiency. We provide detailed dietary guidance and techniques to help you enjoy a full range of foods comfortably and confidently.
Implant-supported dentures attach to dental implants surgically placed in your jawbone, providing superior stability and function compared to traditional dentures. They eliminate movement during eating and speaking, preserve facial structure by preventing bone loss, and offer improved comfort without pressure on gum tissues. Options include All-on-4 treatment for full arch replacement and mini implants for enhanced denture retention.
Daily care includes gentle brushing with a soft denture brush, soaking in biocompatible denture cleaners, and rinsing after meals. We recommend avoiding harsh chemicals, bleaching agents, or abrasive products that can damage the materials. For implant-supported dentures, maintain excellent oral hygiene around the implants. Regular professional cleanings and adjustments help ensure optimal fit and function.
Initially, dentures may affect speech as your tongue adjusts to the new appliance. Most patients adapt within a few weeks with practice. Our precision fitting and biocompatible materials minimize speech changes. Implant-supported dentures provide the most natural speech patterns since they don’t move during talking. We provide speech exercises and techniques to help you adjust more quickly to your new dentures.
All-on-4 is an innovative treatment that replaces a full arch of teeth using just four strategically placed dental implants. This approach often allows for same-day teeth, reduces treatment time and cost, and maximizes use of available bone. The technique avoids complex bone grafting procedures in many cases and provides immediate function and aesthetics. It’s an excellent option for patients seeking the most stable and functional tooth replacement.
Traditional dentures typically require 4-6 weeks and several appointments including impressions, bite registration, try-in, and final delivery. Implant-supported dentures take longer due to implant healing time (3-6 months), but temporary dentures can be provided during healing. All-on-4 treatment often allows for immediate temporary teeth on the day of implant placement, with final restorations completed after healing.

Yes, properly designed dentures provide important facial support by replacing lost tooth structure and supporting facial muscles. When teeth are lost, facial collapse can occur, making you appear older. Our dentures are designed to restore proper facial height and lip support. Implant-supported dentures provide the best long-term facial support by preserving jawbone and preventing further bone loss.
We offer various financing options to make quality dentures affordable, including payment plans, third-party financing, and insurance coordination. Many dental insurance plans provide coverage for dentures, and we’ll help maximize your benefits. For implant-supported options, we can discuss financing plans that make this investment in your oral health manageable. Our team will work with you to find a payment solution that fits your budget.
Comfortable fit begins with precise impressions and careful attention to your jaw relationships and bite patterns. We use advanced techniques to ensure optimal retention and stability while minimizing pressure points. Multiple try-in appointments allow us to perfect the fit before final delivery. Our biocompatible materials are gentler on oral tissues, and we provide thorough adjustment services to maintain comfort as your mouth adapts to the dentures.
